Rachel Madonna is the soul founder and lead practitioner of Soul Bodywork, a private studio-clinic in Chapel Hill, Brisbane West, Queensland Australia.
She offers personalised 1:1 sessions in Remedial Massage, Neuroenergetic Kinesiology, Pilates-based Chi movement therapy, Usui Reiki and Light Language Shamanic Journeys — drawing on more than two decades of body-centred practice, movement experience and energetic medicine.
Her approach combines hands-on bodywork, energetic medicine, movement awareness and compassionate presence. Every session is tailored to the whole person — body, mind, spirit and soul — with attention to stress, tension release, functional movement patterns and inner balance.
Rachel works with professionals, athletes, artists and anyone seeking support with stress, tension, movement awareness, body connection and energetic wellbeing. Sessions may support relaxation, personal development, nervous system calm, physical ease and deeper self-awareness.

Rachel’s Story
In her own words:
I’ve always been a very physical, agile being.
It started at age four, under the classical ballet tuition of Valeria Hansen in Rockhampton, Central Queensland — the stage delighted my senses from the beginning. Training and performance work followed through Rockhampton, Melbourne and Brisbane, before I made the leap to the European stage in 1996.
Fifteen years based in Germany, touring Switzerland, allowed my musical theatre and modern dance career to flourish. It also opened the door to the Pilates world, where I qualified as a professional instructor in Munich in 2004.
I returned to Australia in October 2010 with my Berlin-born son Moses, then three, and home-birthed our daughter Araluen in 2011. From 2012 I continued my professional education as a Pilates, fitness and physiotherapy-assistant practitioner, while training and performing under world-class Artistic Director Jacqui Carroll. In 2019, THE LARRIKINS played to enthused audiences at QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre, where I performed The Bumble Bee live to the intricate violin solo of Jonny Ng from Camerata — Queensland Chamber Orchestra.
From large-scale productions — CATS, EVITA, AIDA, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, BUDDY HOLLY THE MUSICAL, TABALUGA AND LILLI, JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT — to intimate modern dance ensembles, I got to live many characters. Athletic in body, characterful in voice, vibrant in spirit, abundant in energy. That was my once-upon-a-time.
Today, my approach to life is reflective, compassionate and giving. I offer Soul Bodywork life-enhancement and personal development through Shamanic Light Language channelling, Usui Reiki infusion, sound and voice frequency activation, Divine Chi Force Pilates meditation movement, Neuroenergetic Kinesiology stress management, and therapeutic massage bodywork.

Where I AM Now …..
Of all the modalities I’ve trained in, received and practised, Neuroenergetic Kinesiology, Pranayama breathwork and meditative Chi-infused movement medicine have been the most rewarding and transformational.
Nature connection is essential to my spirit — it’s where I listen, trust and receive. I run, swim and practise raChi Pilates recreationally. In 2024 I even returned to ballet, pointe and contemporary training after a complete pause following the LARRIKINS run in 2020. I thought I was done. But turning 50 turned out to be becoming me, in whole: acknowledging the performer within while balancing the spiritual awakening.
This girl’s got a lot of good, and plenty of laughs in between enchaînements and shamanic bodywork practice. Keep it real, people.
With Greatest Honour
In early 2023 I had the privilege of holding sacred space through my mother’s final four hours and last breath in physical body. Witnessing her soul journey with ease, grace and beauty — beyond body, into release from all suffering and attachment — was simply precious.
It was profoundly transformative, and it unleashed my own authentic spirit connection. It continues to deepen my understanding that death is the greatest journey any of us will experience in a lifetime.
A dear Buddhist friend offered me the most beautiful message after my mother passed:
“I wish you the most beautiful death.”
That gave me great peace of mind.
